What is a PropertyText ID?
An PropertyText ID is similar to a property ID – in fact you can actually use your existing property ID. It appears on your road signage and print advertising.
How does the system work?
Once you have activated your PropertyText ID for each property potential buyers will be able to obtain instant property information by sending an PropertyText ID (incorporated into your marketing material) to 842 using their mobile phone. They will instantly receive a reply message detailing the property they have enquired about. This will include the contact details of the salesperson. You will also receive a daily email report summarizing the activity on each of the PropertyText ID’s for each of the salespeople registered with the PropertyText system.
How do I start using the PropertyText system?
Getting started is easy:

Can I use my companies colours rather than the PropertyText colours?
Yes, as long as you include the basic terms and conditions for on your advertsing material you can modify the PropertyText colours to suite your company. What do I receive when I purchase an m-link ID?
- A unique PropertyText ID.
- Daily PropertyText ID activity email report sent either to a central office email or to the listing salesperson.
- Monthly PropertyText ID reporting.
- PropertyText graphic files to incorporate in your marketing.
- Office window poster to explain to potential buyers how this service works (as many as you require).
- 24/7 PropertyText support.
What sort of information does the text message include?
One text message is currently restricted to 160 characters, therefore we have developed an online form that optimizes the information required while at the same time providing a consistent The information made available to the user includes the address (optional), suburb, number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, number of garages, land area, floor area, title type, annual rates, salesperson contact details, as well as a number of optional fields (depending on available character space). eg rental income, views, sleep out.
What sort of properties does PropertyText suit?
Initially PropertyText provides an ideal complement for marketing all residential listings, including lifestyle blocks and apartments.
Why wouldn’t the potential buyer just contact the real estate salesperson directly?
Survey findings revealed a number of valid reasons:
- People would rather not make personal contact with the salesperson when they are browsing for properties, but they still want more detailed information on the property instantly.
- Enquirers know that salespeople are often busy, unavailable, or don’t have the information with them and will either need to call back later or wait for the salesperson to return their call or email.
- It can often take 2-3 phone calls before any contact is established. This is frustrating and can become expensive (compared to the cost of them using m-link).
- It saves the enquirer having to find pen and paper to scribble down details while talking to a salesperson.
- The enquirer will be able to store the information in their phone for later reference and comparison of different properties.
What are the pricing options?
For users who list more than one property a month we have a single fee of only $49.95 per month. This fee covers up to 200 properties.
For users who list 1 property a month or who are listing on a one off basis, there is a single charge of $29.95 and no monthly hosting fee. The ID is valid for the lenght of time the property is on the market up to 1 year.
What payments do you accept?
You can pay for PropertyText either by credit card, direct credit into our bank account, or we can invoice you. You can select one of these options when you register.
What are the costs for texting?
There is no cost to the real estate salesperson when a potential buyer sends a text message. The potential buyer will be charged 50 cents for each PropertyText query. Our research has shown that this price is acceptable to potential users. This price will also deter 'time-waster' from using this service.
Why should the potential buyer pay for property information?
Essentially the buyer is not paying for the information, rather they are paying a small fee to cover the cost of the two text messages (initiating text and reply message) being sent as well for the convienience of a guaranteed instant response.
What if the price of the property I am marketing changes?
You can amend the price details of a listing by logging in and sending an amendment request for a particular PropertyText ID.
Can I stop an PropertyText ID?
Yes - There is a delete option for each PropertyText ID in the user homepage.
What PropertyText support is provided?

Can I add my existing properties to the PropertyTextsystem?
Yes - Your entire stock can be added to the system quickly and efficiently. It usually takes between 60-90 seconds to list a property.
Can I integrate the PropertyText system into my existing back-office system?
At this stage we have a direct link with the Real Base system. Others are in development and can be intergrated upon request.
Can I use PropertyText for marketing items other than property?
Obviously text message marketing can be applied to other areas such as motor vehicles, boats and classified advertising. We have invested substantial resources into this development and are now in the final beta testing stage before its release.
